I am a disabled individual who spends much of my time volunteering.
I am recovering from relapsing gulliam barre syndrome that i have had for the past 20 years. I live my life on a daily basis with pain. Many things have changed in my life since i was paralized in 1988. I appreciate more each day that god rules my daily life and provides me with challenges that i must endure with an overall goal of heaven.
I also am a person that cannot hear how my voice sounds. Having expierencing short term hearing loss forced me to redevelop in my brain to what i actually sound like to others. once i had a deep bass pitch that was intelligent and now its a dumb ass country that indicates that i am not very smart. but the genius level iq that i have is shown in my many diverse talents.
I also live with a radial birth defect in my fore-arms that prevents me from rotating my wrist. a problem that prevented me from playing team sports. For many years i enjoyed the game of tennis. since 1992, i have been involved as a para professional coach in the local high schools doing football, basketball, baseball, and cross country with a stint as an athetelic director. this year i was on the football staff at union city high school which won a tssaa state championship. Most of my efforts involve either stats or video taping, but sometimes i actually have to coach.
For many years of my life, i have been on the troy fire department and since 1995 serving as the admin lt. for our volunteer dept. i also serve as the nims single point of contact for troy and am responsible for the emergency management program for the troy agencies. I currently have taken 92 emi ema classes, am a command operations haz-mat team member, and need 16 hours to complete a bachelor degree in emergency management.
The Obion County Local Emergency Planning Committee, I have served our town as a member since it was organized in 2001. I also am the webmaster for the lepc website. I also am a past member of the district nine homeland security agency.
I also am a collector of college degree’s, go think?
I have associate degree’s in mechanical, architectural engineering, and in applied science. A bachelor degree in structural civil engineering, certificates as in computer repair and a+ networking. I also have certificates as a nws storm spotter and noaa emergency weather management.
In may of 2007, i became ki4vxo, a technician amateur radio operator and later upgraded my license to general class and changed my callsign to n4pwg. i currently serve as an assistant director in the arrl delta division with the primary responsiblity as the website webmaster at www.arrldelta.org i am active in a limited basis in most modes of operations. my equipment is all kenwood radios with diamond vertical antennas and a folded dipole for short distance comm on hf frequencies.
I am also a director in the obion county habitat for humanity where i have participated in the building of all but two of the thirty egiht partner family homes. my speciality is vinyl siding.
I do spend much of my time volunteering or enjoying fixing computers as a hobby. my most quality time has been with the youth groups at the troy church of christ. i enjoy having made several mission trips across the united states with them usually as the driver of the church bus.
i enjoy the parable of the talents where god instructs us to use our talents and he will add more as we develop. i do not set around doing nothing, i am always searching for new task to use my talent pool that has increased my iq over the genius status.
RESPECT ALL AND THEY WILL RESPECT YOU!
